DTI MisOr promotes digital creativity in Kahimunan Digifest 2024

MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA) – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental captivated a massive crowd of 200 participants on the growing digital interactive media of Cagayan de Oro City during the Kahimunan MisOr Digifest: Mobile Legends Tournament and Cosplay Competition.

Organizers held the e-sports and cosplay competition in August as part of the Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair 2024 core activities at SM City CDO Uptown, Cagayan de Oro City.

The Kahimunan MisOr Digifest highlights the Digital Interactive Creative Industries, one of the nine domains in the Creatives Industry. It specifically focuses on the Games, Toys, and Characters Creative Sector of Misamis Oriental.

Thirty-two teams competed in the Mobile Legends Tournament, with Explicit Esports taking home the cash prize of P12,000 as the tournament’s champion. Migo$ secured the second place with P7,000 cash prize, while XCD Hits-V Minerva took home P4,000 cash in the third place.

Kristin Mae Pulmano, on the other hand, won first prize in the Cosplay Competition, receiving P5,000. Kay Manzenades and Christina Canada took second place with a P4,000 prize, while Missy Tacastacas earned the third prize of P2,000.

Cagayan de Oro City Councilor George S. Goking awarded an additional P10,000 in cash prizes to the winners.

Xavier Campus Esports and Entertainment Development, Trailblazers’ Association for Campus Esports, Virtual Grounds Esports, and Xavier University Assembly of Extra-Curricular Organizations Kazoku organized the Kahimunan MisOr Digifest: Mobile Legends Tournament and Cosplay Competition.

Councilor Goking, Chair of the Committees on Trade & Commerce, Stephanie Rosalind P. Caragos, Representative of the Digital Interactive Media Creative Domain, Raymundo G.
