QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Department of Trade and Industry National Capital Regional Office (DTI-NCRO) is creating more opportunities for young entrepreneurs, mainly on e-commerce, through the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP).
DTI NCRO Regional Director Winston T. Singun highlighted the agency’s goal to help aspiring and existing young business owners succeed.
“Tinatarget natin na tulungan ang mga nagnanais at mga existing na rin na mga kabataan na entrepreneurs to explore their full potential to become successful entrepreneurs,” Singun said during the third episode of Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas for this year.
Singun is encouraging live sellers and online entrepreneurs to register their businesses and comply with regulations.

“Pwede tayong magpa-training para sa kanila para sa compliance kasi gusto nating mag-register sila,” he said.
Further, the registered youth entrepreneurs can benefit from programs like Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) Act, which offers tax exemptions and exclusive business support.
“Kung naka-onboard sa Shopee, Lazada, [o] Tiktok may partnership tayo with these platforms at sila ay maka-avail ng special programs,” he added.
DTI-NCRO continues to partner with major e-commerce platforms and industry stakeholders to provide training, resources, and opportunities, helping young business owners thrive in the digital market place.
Interested youth entrepreneurs can visit any of the DTI Regional/Provincial Offices or Negosyo Centers, or contact the Department of Trade and Industry – Bureau of SME Development at (+632) 7791.3310 or via email [email protected] or visit DTI-NCROs Facebook page: facebook.com/DTI.NCRO.
