Elections in Misamis Occidental peaceful, orderly

MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL (PIA) — The Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office reported that the 2025 national and local elections concluded without major incidents in the province.

Police Captain Angelie P. Arrienda, Public Information Officer, said the outcome was due to planning, personnel deployment, community involvement, and coordination with other agencies.

Involved agencies included the Commission on Elections, Armed Forces of the Philippines through the 10th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, Maritime Group, Department of Information and Communications Technology, and other stakeholders.

Arrienda said 1,940 personnel were deployed to 465 polling centers, with intensified checkpoints and the reactivation of motorcycle anti-street crime operatives.

“Ang epektibong pagpapatupad ng mandato ng Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office ay nagtiyak sa kaligtasan ng mga botante at sa integridad ng proceso ng halalan,” she added.

(The effective enforcement of the mandate of the Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office ensured the safety of voters and the integrity of the election process.)
