Famous lechon house in Iligan unveils rebranding, innovation

ILIGAN CITY (PIA)–To enhance its corporate identity and continue delivering exceptional culinary experiences to its customers, MJ Lechon House has unveiled an exciting rebranding initiative and a range of innovative offerings.

The renowned lechon provider, which had previously gained recognition as the “Best Tasty Lechon in Iligan” just three months after its inception in 2017, is once again making waves in the local food scene.

The inspiration for this transformative journey came from the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), which instilled the significance of branding as a dynamic tool for connecting with customers and establishing a stronger presence in the market.

While MJ Lechon House had already earned a solid reputation for its mouthwatering lechon, they recognized the importance of evolving and staying relevant in the ever-changing business landscape. Their commitment to providing exceptional lechon experiences and their dedication to serving their community were paramount in this rebranding endeavor.

With their new branding, MJ Lechon House invites customers to “Experience the Flavor” of their lechon, promising an even more enjoyable dining experience.

One of the exciting innovations they introduced is the “Lechon in a Box” concept, which allows customers to savor their delectable lechon in convenient and stylish packaging.
“We want to give value to your money nga pagbitbit sa lechon, disente sya, naka-box sa  paghatag sa friends o officemates [We want to give value to your money. When you buy our lechon, it is presented nicely, in a box, ready to share with friends and officemates],” said Engr. Teodoro A. Gayo Jr. of MJ Lechon House.

Moreover, MJ Lechon House also received various forms of support from the Department of Science and Technology. These include P1.4 million in funding through the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program, improving product labels, providing food safety training, and standardizing their processes and products through the Manufacturing Productivity Extension Program. An essential goal of this extensive assistance has been to obtain the license to operate and the required product registrations from the Food and Drug Administration.

The rebranding of MJ Lechon House was not just about a new logo or colors but about reaffirming their commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and community engagement as it aims to become a source of pride for Iligan City, building on its legacy of serving the tastiest lechon in town while constantly innovating to provide greater value to its customers.
