She said that the Pag-IBIG members may apply onsite or virtually to avail a loan of up to 80 percent of their savings.
“May approved resolution na—pwede na mag-apply ng calamity loan,” Platero said in a message.
Locals in the city should apply within nine days after the declaration of state of calamity. Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) has yet to complete the conduct of the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) to assess the extent of damage and needs in Palawan.
The RDANA will help the Sangguniang Panlalawigan in determining whether a state of calamity should be declared throughout Palawan or only in the southern portion of the province.
The municipality of Narra had already placed the town under the state of calamity on February 12 after the widespread flooding in 20 barangays.
Puerto Princesa City and towns situated in the southern Palawan experienced heavy downpour brought by a shear line, which submerged houses and properties in floods. (RG/PIA MIMAROPA-Palawan)
