The FRs were briefed on several government programs, including the LTO’s Road Safety and Licensing Program, DTI’s Consumer Rights and Business Registration Programs, DICT’s e-Gov App, BFP’s Fire Prevention Tips, and DILG’s Retooled Community Support Program.
In addition, FRs and their families were offered free haircuts by the Philippine National Police as well as medical check-ups and medicines from the Department of Health, Provincial Health Office, and the Rotary Club.
Carmelo Andrada, caravan chairperson, said the event aimed to orient FRs on the various government

“The caravan helps our former rebels become informed about the government programs they can access, allowing them to contribute positively to their communities,” Andrada said.
The FRs were also organized into a provincial federation as part of their reintegration.
OPAPRU officials stated that this new organization will allow them to access government assistance further and participate in local special bodies within their respective local government units (LGUs). (OTB/BME/PIA Region 2)
