In a press statement, Special Assistant to the City Mayor Maria Mathilde Treñas said that Iloilo City is one of the places Watsons chose to carry out the medical mission for underprivileged residents.

“This is a big help for the city. Makadto ka sa doctor subong, mahal ang checkup. Plus ang bulong mo pa. But the tests and the prescription medicines will be free during the medical mission,”Treñas said.

The city government eyes to delegate the selection of beneficiaries to the barangays, which will distribute the tickets to indigent recipients.

However, Treñas guaranteed that “as long as our resources and personnel could, we would cater even to those without tickets.”

The city government, for its part, is tasked to convene medical professionals, composed of at least 15 doctors, 15 nurses, and dentists for the medical mission.

Meanwhile, those individuals who would like to volunteer may reach out to the City Health Office. (AAL/LMLE/PIA Iloilo)
