BACOLOD CITY (PIA) — All Civil Registration Service (CRS) sites of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Negros Occidental now accepts clients for the national identification (ID) registration.
This after PSA resumed normal operations for the national ID registration on Jan. 20, following the successful recalibration of the registration procedure to provide better services to the public.
Highlighting the national ID as a valid proof of identity in both private and public transactions, Chief Statistical Specialist John F. Campomanes enjoins the Negrense people to register and avail of the national ID.
To enroll in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Registry, individuals only need to secure any but not limited to the following: government-issued ID, Certificate of Live Birth, school or company ID, and barangay clearance or certificate.
In this province, the national ID registration centers include the National ID Fixed Registration Center at the PSA Negros Occidental Provincial Statistical Office, Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Robinsons Place Bacolod, SM City Bacolod, Gaisano Grand Central, Gaisano Grand Silay, CityMall Victorias, and CityMall Cadiz.
Registration at local civil registrar’s offices and local registration centers is also done on a regular basis; the schedule of which should be looked out for.
Mobile registration campaigns will also be conducted anew across Negros Occidental to bring to far-flung communities government services such as the national ID registration, thereby upholding every Filipino’s fundamental right to identity.
PSA reminds the public and all relying parties of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) on the use and acceptance of all National ID formats such as the National ID card, ePhilID, and the newest Digital National ID.
All government offices and agencies, and the private sector must honor the National ID, as provided under Republic Act (RA) 11055 or the Philippine Identification System Act. (AGP/ BPS/PIA Negros Occidental/PSA Negros Occidental)
