GINGOOG CITY, Misamis Oriental (PIA) — Straightening its End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) initiatives, the City Government of Gingoog turned over a total of P4M worth of Farm to Market Road at Cantoan, Barangay Lunao.
The project is under the Local Government Support Fund- Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) is a priority program of the government that aims to usher development and deliver basic services to conflict-affected barangays due to insurgency caused by the Communist Terrorist Group – New Peoples’ Army (CTG-NPA).
The FMR which is a two-lane concrete road with a length of 228 linear meters aims to help ease the travel made by residents of Sitio Cantaon and their agri products towards the nearby market. It also serves as a symbol of unity that aims to strengthen peace and order and improve the economy and livelihood of the community.
Mayor Erick Cañosa said the government cares and both the local and national government gives importance and attention to the needs of its people.
As the city government continues to work towards the improvement of Gingoog City, it is expected that the city will be making more infrastructure projects not just as a way to boost the economy but also to achieve the lasting peace that Gingoognons deserves. (JAKA/PIA10)
