MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA) — Providing safety and support to women and children in need, Gov. Xavier Jesus Romualdo led the formal turnover and blessing ceremony of the newly established Camiguin Women and Children Crisis Center, located at the Government Center in Lakas, Poblacion, Mambajao, as well as the handover of the CCTV system and units installed at the Cong. Pedro P. Romualdo Sports Complex and the Ugmad Site on December 13.
“Ang Camiguin Women and Children Crisis Center ug ang CCTV system gipondohan gikan sa mga premyo nga nadawat sa probinsyal nga panggamhanan sa Camiguin sa pagkadaog niini sa 2022 ug 2023 Seals of Good Local Governance,” Romualdo said.
(The Camiguin Women and Children Crisis Center and the CCTV system were funded through the prizes received by the provincial government of Camiguin for winning the 2022 and 2023 Seals of Good Local Governance.)

Modern amenities equip the Camiguin Women and Children Crisis Center to ensure the safety and support of women and children in need.
On the other hand, the CCTV system aims to strengthen public safety through enhanced monitoring and surveillance of major activities across the province. It was first utilized during the recently concluded 2024 Lanzones Festival, ensuring smooth and secure event operations.

“Apil ni sa atong mga paningkamot sa tumong nga mapalambo nato ang kahapsay ug seguridad sa dinhi sa probinsya (This is part of our efforts aimed at improving peace and security in the province),” Romualdo said.
