Government agencies vow support for CSBP

DAVAO CITY (PIA) – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Davao Region vowed to take part in providing assistance to the families left behind by uniformed personnel who were killed or wounded in action.

During the distribution of assistance to 300 beneficiaries under the Comprehensive Social Benefits Program (CSBP) in Davao City today, September 29, led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., DOLE-XI Regional Director lawyer Randolf C. Pensoy said they could give livelihood assistance ranging from P20,000 to P30,000 to the beneficiaries, especially to the surviving spouses of those killed in action.

 

He added that they could propose their preferred livelihood ventures, like sari-sari store or any retailing business, and they will assist in setting it up.

Pensoy was among the government heads and stakeholders who pledged their commitment of support for the beneficiaries of the CSBP in today’s “Pagpupugay sa mga Bayani ng Bansang Makabayan” assembly and thanksgiving gathering.. Other officials present were from the Department of Health, DILG, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authorities, among others.

For LtGen. Greg T. Almerol, the commander of the Philippine Army’s Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom), highlighted that the conduct of ‘Pagpupugay sa mga Bayani ng Bansang Makabayan’ assembly and thanksgiving would help the surviving spouses of killed in action uniformed personnel.

“Importante sa amin, lalong-lalo na sa EastMinCom kasi nakakatulong ito sa mga surviving spouses at para sa kanilang hanapbuhay,”  Almerol said in an interview during the event .

The President also assured the families of law enforcers who died in service that their families would be given the rightful government benefits based on the CBSP  while assuring the government’s continued support program for the benefit of  those in law enforcement agencies to do well based on their mandate.With this assurance, the President called on national line agencies to keep up with its mandate of delivering government services.

 

“Ang tagumpay ng mga proyekto ng gobyerno ay  tagumpay nating lahat. Kung kaya naman inaatasan ko ang  mga kinauukulang mga ahensya na tiyakin nang maayos ang implementasyon na mga ito at siguruhin ninyo ang mga  benepisyo ay mabilis na makakarating sa ating mga mamamayan. Sa pagsulong ng Bagong Pilipinas, lahat ng mga Pilipino ay uunlad at magiging katuwang sa transpormasyon na ito,” President Marcos said.
