QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — In celebration of the 124th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) will hold various activities to highlight the contributions, capacities, and commitment of government employees devoted to public service.
To underscore the value of “malasakit” or compassion, the CSC, in collaboration with the Philippine Blood Center (PBC) and Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium (DJNRMHS), will conduct a bloodletting activity in the National Capital Region (NCR) titled “Dugtong Buhay, Handog ng Lingkod Bayan” (Life Extension, Gift of the Public Servant).
The event will be held at the CSC Resource Center, IBP Road, Batasan Hills, Quezon City on September 12, 2024. Interested government employees can register through the link https://tinyurl.com/2024-PCSA-Blood-Donation and will be considered on official business for the scheduled date.
Qualified donors who successfully donate blood will receive a one-day compensatory time-off, in accordance with CSC-DBM Joint Circular No. 2, series of 2004 and 2-A, series of 2005.
Participants must present their Blood Donation Card to the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) to claim the benefit.
“This worthwhile activity fosters compassion and value for life, which are core values of the civil service,” the CSC said in a statement. The public is encouraged to join government employees in this meaningful event.
