Agrarian reform beneficiaries from Zamboanga del Norte smile proudly as they present their newly acquired e-Titles from the DAR, part of the Project SPLIT.
PAGADIAN CITY (PIA) — Over 400 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga Sibugay received electronic titles (e-titles) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), securing not only their future but also that of the next generation.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the long-awaited titles.
Alfredo Lusay, barangay chairperson of Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte said “salamat kaayo sa tanan nga na-involve aning programa. Sa 35 ka tuig, nadawat na gyud namo ang tinuod nga titulo”.

(Thank you to everyone involved in this program. After 35 years, we’ve finally received a title that is truly ours.)
Esther Manaug from Kalawit, Zamboanga del Norte said, “gitagaan ko karon ug higayon nga matagaan ko’g titulo nga gipaabot nako sa dugay nga panahon. Salamat kay makatabang kini sa among panginabuhi.”
(I’ve finally received the title I’ve waited for so long. I’m thankful because this will greatly help our livelihood.)
DAR officials reminded ARBs to use their land responsibly, with dedication, innovation, and a vision for a better future.
The simultaneous distributions were held in Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte, and Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

In Zamboanga del Norte, 234 ARBs received 245 e-titles covering 409.75 hectares, while 200 ARBs in Zamboanga Sibugay received 210 e-titles, covering 270 hectares.
This activity is part of DAR’s Project SPLIT or Support to Parcelization of Land for Individual Titling that has helped ARBs by transitioning them from collective to individual land ownership, unlocking new economic opportunities and fostering rural development. (EDT/CCP/JCN/PIA9-Zamboanga del Sur)
