QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is encouraging job seekers interested in working for the government to take advantage of opportunities available through the CSC Job Portal at csc.gov.ph/career.
CSC Chairperson Atty. Karlo Alexi Nograles highlighted the benefits and importance of the job portal in providing access to open government positions across different sectors and regions, during a media forum to promote the 124th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service in September, held at the Philippine Information Agency in Quezon City, Thursday.
“Job opportunities continue to increase in the government since it always needs skillful and loyal employees who will deliver quality public service,” Nograles said. “The CSC Job Portal is an easy way to view vacant positions in different government agencies across all regions of the Philippines.”
According to CSC Resolution No. 2000221, national government agencies, local government units, state universities, and colleges are required to submit their list of authorized positions and vacant second and third level positions to the CSC for publication on the job portal.
Applicants can use the portal’s filters to search for available positions by title, agency name, and region. Job postings include details such as salary, job grade, and required qualifications.
Nograles reminded interested applicants to carefully review the qualifications and competencies required for each position, emphasizing that eligibility alone does not guarantee a permanent appointment.
“The government is not only the biggest employer nationally or locally, it also provides the opportunity for Filipinos to attain security of tenure,” Nograles said. “We encourage qualified Filipinos, including our fresh graduates, job shifters, and civil service eligibles to join the civil service and contribute to our nation’s development.” (JCO/PIA-NCR)
