Gov’t services is love, says PBBM

TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte—President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. likened to love the administration’s services to the people during his recent visit to Tagum City for the Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas para 4Ps Job Fair.

“Alam niyo po ang serbisyo naming sa gobyerno tulad ng pagmamahal, buo, kompleto at hindi nang-iiwan,” the President said in his speech, citing the “all-in-one” government services that can be accessed during the job fair held at the Tagum City Hall.

(You know our services in the government are like love; whole, complete and it will not leave you.)

“Meron po tayo job fair at lahat ng kailangan ninyong dokumento mula sa gobyerno para sa paghahanap ng trabaho andyan na rin. Pagkatapos niyo pong maghanap ng trabaho kayo ay makapamili ng murang produkto sa kadiwa naman,” the President said.

(We have a job fair where all the government documents you need for finding a job are there. After looking for jobs you can buy affordable products at our Kadiwa.)

Just a day after Valentine’s Day, the President peppered his speech with heart’s day references.

In jest, he said those without boyfriends or girlfriends might find their match while searching for a job at the fair.

“Kaya lingon-lingon naman dyan (just look around),” the President said light-heartedly in his speech to the crowd, which included 3,000 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) members.

Turning serious, President Marcos said the government services at the job fair is part of their mandate to the Filipino people.

“Eto ay bilang pagtupad sa aming mandato at sa aming pangako na itaas ang antas ng pamumuhay ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino lalong-lalo na sa ating benepisyaryo ng 4Ps atsaka ng TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers),” the President said.

(This is about fulfilling our mandate and our promise to uplift the lives of every Filipino family particularly our beneficiaries in the 4Ps and the TUPAD.)

The Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas para sa 4Ps Job Fair aims to provide work opportunities for 4Ps beneficiaries. Organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Labor and Employment it offered 1,327 job vacancies from 25 participating companies.

During his visit, the President toured the booths at the Kadiwa ng Pamilya manned by members of small-scale farming associations. (PIA/RG)
