CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), in partnership with the provincial government, the municipal government of Maddela, and various national and local offices, recently conducted a Serbisyo Caravan for the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) priority barangays in Maddela, particularly in Villa Agullana, Manglad, and San Pedro.
DILG Quirino Officer-In-Charge Karen Joy C. Pablico-Castro stated that the Serbisyo Caravan is part of the RCSP, which is mandated by Executive Order No. 70, or the Whole-of-Nation Approach to End Local Communist Armed Conflict in remote areas.
“Ang pagkakaisa ay kinakailangan upang makamit natin ang pangmatagalang kapayapaan. Hindi na lamang ito responsibilidad ng militar kundi ng bawat isa sa atin,” Castro said.
(Our unity is necessary to achieve lasting peace. It is not only the responsibility of the military but of each of us.)
Castro noted that around 300 households received grocery packs, and hundreds of residents benefited from medical services, social services, a feeding program, supplies distribution, and agricultural services offered during the three-day event.
Mayor Rimel Tolentino emphasized that the activity is part of President Bongbong Marcos’s counter-insurgency initiatives aimed at achieving permanent peace and sustainable development in areas cleared of insurgency.
Tolentino urged residents to strengthen their unity and commitment to their barangays to sustain peace and development. He also announced that the municipal government would provide P50,000 each to the three barangays as additional funds for their projects.
The Serbisyo Caravan involved the participation of the Municipal Health Office, Office of the Provincial Agriculture, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, Provincial Public Employment Service Office, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Department of the Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Education, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Philippine Statistics Authority, Department of Trade and Industry, Land Transportation Office, Philippine Army, Quirino Police Provincial Office, and the Bureau of Fire Protection.
