
QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — State insurance fund Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) advises its members and the public to avoid sending inquiries via their Facebook page, instead, to send in their ‘member-specific’ concerns through official email or call their hotline numbers.
“In the interest of cyber-security, this GSIS Facebook Page will no longer entertain “member-specific” queries, follow-ups and requests for action received through the Comments section and/or private Messenger section of this page,” the GSIS stated in their advisory.
The GSIS explained that they are doing this to prevent their stakeholders from falling prey to online scammers, cyber-criminals, and other unscrupulous individuals.
GSIS encourages members to send their “member-specific” concerns via official channels:
