COTABATO CITY (PIA) – The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Cotabato Branch is confident that it will be able to provide more accessible and convenient services to its members and pensioners with the opening of its Digital Business Center in this city on Feb. 10.
The Digital Business Center is equipped with tablet computers, featuring the GSIS Mobile Touch App, allowing its active members and pensioners from this city and other areas to conduct easy transactions.
Deity Manampan, GSIS vice president for Mindanao operations, said the center will speed up the services of the GSIS and make it easier for its members and pensioners to do business with the agency.
“Ang GSIS ay sumasabay lang sa advancement of technology and digitalization. So, we came up with something innovative na rin to make it easier for our members and pensioners to access,” he said.

The center uses GSIS Touch to apply for loans, make payments, and manage accounts. It also has a feature called Annual Pensioners Information Revalidation (APIR) that lets pensioners meet their revalidation requirements from afar.
“If you look at it, it’s actually the GSIS touch para ‘yong mga walang internet connection ay ma-assist pa namin (so that those without internet connection can still be assisted),” Manampan added.
Trained GSIS Cotabato staff are also available on site to guide members and pensioners in navigating the digital platform.
Manampan also called on the GSIS members and pensioners to install and register for the GSIS touch application.
“Nananawagan ako sa lahat ng miyembro, mga pensionado, unang-una, you install GSIS touch it’s available to the Appstore and play store, and then install and register, ito lang ‘yong pinaka importante dito, dapat ‘yong cellphone number ninyo is updated,” he stressed.

Currently, the GSIS Cotabato Branch Office has 27,000 active members and 5,150 pensioners.
