Inequality creates the conditions that render people exposed and vulnerable to disasters. This year we moved on with the lessons of the pandemic and the rising risk of climate change. We must participate to fight inequality, as the beginning of the burdening cycle caused by the impact of disaster to all of us and our future.
Let us understand disaster risk, strengthen disaster risk governance, invest in disaster risk reduction and most importantly enhance disaster preparedness for effective response, recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction.
