LAMUT, Ifugao(PIA) – – Residents of barangays Poblacion East and West in this town look forward to having adequate clean and potable water supply after the local government unit (LGU) and the Balibago Waterworks System, Inc. (BWSI) entered into a partnership for a water project.
Mayor Victomar Bunnol and BWSI Vice President for Operation Mark Oliver J. Araullo signed on November 8, 2023 a Memorandum of Agreement for the realization of the town’s priority project to address the increasing water needs of the people.
The project was conceptualized in 2013 when Bunnol was the vice mayor.
The project will initially cover the Barangays Poblacion West and Poblacion East, but Bunnol said this will soon be expanded to the other barangays.
The mayor expressed hope that the BWSI will deliver reasonable and quality service in terms of development, management, and upkeep of the Parallel Level III waterworks in the municipality.
Vice Mayor Everda Desiree Dulinayan thanked the people who are working for the implementation of the longed for project. She cited the 20th Sangguniang Bayan for authorizing Mayor Bunnol to enter into a MOA with the BWSI.
Poblacion West Punong Barangay Ronald Daulayan expressed gratitude that his barangay is one of the recipients of the project. He assured the same support as manifested by the people of Barangay West during the consultation conducted by the BSWI. (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR-Ifugao)
