LAMUT, Ifugao (PIA)–The municipality of Lamut recognized 15 of its sons and daughters who have excelled in their respective fields and have made significant impacts in the community.
The Lamut Achievers’ Award, an integral part of the Rambakan fiesta of the municipality, is designed to honor individuals who embody excellence and dedication in their endeavors.
Among the distinguished awardees are five esteemed members of the military service: Police Brigidier General Job Russel M. Balaquit, Police Colone Levi Hope B. Basilio, Captain Jeff Rene Sarol Nadugo, PBGen Bernie H. Orig, and PLtCol. Maciste Extor B. Serrano.
Five exceptional individuals from the public service were also recognized, namely; Kerajie Ryne Bimmulog, Dr. Queenette Blaise-Mateo Bogbog, Rhea S. Gallevo, Dr. Rhodora M. Montesa, and Johnson Valin Padre.
Dr. Bogbog is the first cardiologist from the province of Ifugao affiliated with St. Luke’s Medical Center in Global City. She has also conducted several medical research studies that were presented in international research forums.
Four were also lauded for their academic excellence- Randell Jay P. Buyawe, Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, Jennifer D. Tucpi, and Engr. Jolas A. Ubaldo.
Ubaldo graduated with the highest Latin honor, Summa Cum Laude, for his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree at Saint Louis University in Baguio City.
Awardee for the business sector is Engr. Evelyn Pe Benito Vedasto.
The plaques of recognition and incentives were personally received by the recipients and their representatives.
The awrdees conveyed their heartfelt gratitude for the recognition bestowed upon them.
Alice Brawner, head of the screening and selection committee, urged the community to actively participate in identifying and nominating individuals who exemplify excellence and accomplishment in their respective fields.
She emphasized the importance of recognizing and celebrating the outstanding contributions of community members, encouraging everyone to nominate deserving candidates for future honors. (FBR- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
