LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) – – Residents of Aguinaldo who were released from correctional facilities will be accorded with fair treatment in terms of jobs and other economic opportunities from the municipal government.
The Sangguniang Bayan (SB) adopted a resolution giving equal access to qualified former Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in terms of employment and livelihood opportunities available in the municipality and in the province.
The community pillar plays a crucial role in the re-integration of former PDLs into the mainstream of society by equally assimilating them in employment and other life sustaining activity, the SB resolution stated.
“This August Body gives equal concern or attention to qualified PDLs to regain their self-worth and become law-abiding citizens in the community,” it added.
The adoption of said resolution is the product of the harmonious working relationship between the local government unit of Aguinaldo and the Alfonso Lista District Jail. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
