ILIGAN CITY (PIA) — The Iligan Investment Incentives and Promotions Center has opened its new office on the ground floor of the Mejia Building in Barangay Pala-o. The facility will serve as the city’s center for investment promotion and economic initiatives.
Marie Grace Halibas, the center’s executive director, said the office is a step toward improving the city’s efforts to attract investors.
“Siyempre, mag-invite ta’g investors here, so we should have a practical and at least comfortable office. Maka-invite pud ta ug maka-welcome sa atong guest,” she said.

The office, which previously lacked a permanent location, has been rebranded as the Local Economic Development, Investment and Promotions Office, in line with the updated Investment Code of Iligan.
Halibas said the opening of the office underscores Iligan City’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and reinforcing support for local and regional economic development.
Through this, Iligan aims to attract more investors, assist local enterprises, and support Northern Mindanao’s innovation ecosystem.
The building also houses the Department of Trade and Industry’s Shared Service Facility for Digital Creatives Innovation Hub on the second floor, operated by the Center for Digital Iligan Innovation and Sustainability. This is part of the city’s strategy to promote innovation and digital transformation.
