Iligan proclaims 2025 poll winners, officials pledge commitment to progress, unity

ILIGAN CITY (PIA) — Newly elected and re-elected officials pledged to continue public service, promote good governance, and pursue development efforts for the city, following their official proclamation by the City Board of Canvassers on May 13.

Re-elected Mayor Frederick W. Siao of the Asenso Iliganon Party (AIP) expressed gratitude to Iligan residents for their support and reaffirmed his administration’s focus on 15 Priority Development Goals.

(We thank our supporters, those who believed in us, for the support they have given us, thank you very much. We promise to repay it with quality public service for our city of Iligan.)

Siao said his administration will continue work on services such as water, waste management, and health, and will prioritize the completion of the Pala-o Market project.

Newly elected Vice Mayor Ernest Oliver “Wekwek” Uy of the United Iligan Party (UIP) also thanked voters and called for unity to advance the city’s development.

Dili kini ang katapusan, kondili sinugdanan sa mas lig-on nga pakigbisog alang sa Bag-ong Iligan,” he said.

(Victory is not only seen in the election results, but in your courage to stand up for true change. This is not the end, but the beginning of a stronger fight for a New Iligan.)

Uy emphasized the importance of public trust in pushing for government transparency and improved services.

(I will continue to serve you. Your servant’s only goal is genuine change and progress for Iligan. With your help and unity, more projects will be accomplished, and more Iliganons will be helped.)
