ILIGAN CITY (PIA)–Over 80 business establishments, entrepreneurs, cooperatives, influencers, and others were honored here at the Business Awards Night.
The city government organized the event to recognize the awardees’ outstanding efforts and contributions to the growth of the city.
Ritchie Rubio, organizer of the event, highlighted that the purpose of the Business Awards Night is to foster fellowship and camaraderie among business owners in the city.
Various awards were presented, including Best Fast Food and Snack Inn, Best Fine Dining Restaurant, Best Local Coffee Shop, Best Milk Tea Shop, Best Halal Restaurant, Best Bar and Nightlife Destination, Best Hotel, Best Private Pool Resort, and more.
Awardees expressed their joy and gratitude for being recognized for their hard work.

Grayzel Catipay, marketing manager of Skinlogics Wellness and Beauty Clinic, which is the recipient of the Best Beauty Spa and Massage Award, shared the clinic’s journey from a modest start to its current success with over 50 employees. They offer a range of services, including massages, spa treatments, facials, lashes, and more.
“It’s well deserved. We’ve been starting for how many years na. It’s a good opportunity for businesses, even the starting ones, since they will be known. This is also a way for them to work hard since their efforts were recognized,” she said.
Meanwhile, Rebecca Orga, owner and manager of Tabes Place, was honored with a Merit Award for Best Event Place in the city. Having operated for 25 years, she expressed surprise and gratitude for the recognition, especially considering the simplicity of her business.
Moreover, Junel Quieso, awarded as the Best Social Media Influencer for his Suroy Suroy Vlog, expressed heartfelt thanks to followers, supporters, and those who nominated him.
“Thankful kaayo ko. Magpasalamat ko sa akong followers, supporters, ug sa mga nag-nominate sa akoa. Para ni sa inyoha dili para sa akoa [I am very thankful. I express my gratitude to my followers, supporters, and those who nominated me. This is for all of you, not for me],” he said.
In 2020, upon his return to Iligan from Manila, Quieso launched the Suroy Suroy Vlog on Facebook. Since then, he has been dedicated to creating engaging content that highlights tourism, events, and local businesses in the city.
Transitioning from his previous role as an overseas Filipino worker, Quieso has embraced vlogging as a full-time endeavor. He offers advice to aspiring vloggers, encouraging them to consistently pursue their passion and enhance the quality of their content. (LELA/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
