SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union (PIA) — The Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office 1 (PSA RSSO-1) concluded the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) with a call for continued collaboration among stakeholders from the private and public sectors in promoting the importance of statistics.
This year’s theme is “Advancing data and statistics through digital transformation: A road to an empowered nation.”
Teresa Olarte, officer-in-charge of the PSA statistical operations and coordination division, noted how the partnership among the member agencies of the Regional Statistics Committee, local government units, academe, media, and the students contributed to the success of the annual month-long celebration.
“Without your support, this month-long celebration would not be successful,” Olarte said during the recent culmination ceremony at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) La Union Branch in this city.
She added, “The success of this celebration is a testament to our efforts in promoting and enhancing the awareness of the public on the importance of statistics.”
