Ilocos Region police enhance operations with new mobility assets

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) significantly boosted its operational capabilities with the turnover of new mobility assets on August 27.

The event took place at the PRO1 grandstand in this city.

Police Brigadier General Lou Evangelista, PRO1 Regional Director, presided over the ceremony.

The new vehicles and motorcycles are expected to enhance public safety and improve response times across the Ilocos region.

The PRO1 Command Group received three Toyota Innova light transport vehicles.

Additionally, 31 Honda Dirt Bike 150 CC light motorcycles were distributed to the four provinces: Ilocos Norte (4), Ilocos Sur (12), La Union (6), and Pangasinan (9).

PBGEN Evangelista emphasized the importance of these new assets in serving the community effectively.

“As we unveil our new fleet of Honda dirt bikes and Toyota Innova vehicles, we reaffirm our dedication to equipping our officers with the tools necessary to serve and protect our communities,” he said.

He added, “These vehicles will significantly enhance our operational capabilities, allowing us to reach even the most remote and challenging areas with the speed and precision our duties demand.”

Police Colonel Heryl Bruno, provincial director of the La Union Police Provincial Office, expressed gratitude for the new assets, which will bolster their mobility and operational capabilities, particularly in patrol operations.

PRO1’s investment in these mobility assets demonstrates their commitment to public safety and modernizing police operations.
