ILOILO CITY (PIA) — Three residents of the Bahay Pag-asa of the Iloilo provincial government successfully completed their senior high school and attended their graduation rites on April 14, 2025.
According to the report of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), one resident finished his 12th grade through Alternative Learning System (ALS) – Electrical Installation and Maintenance under a blended modular modality at Pototan National Comprehensive High School.
Another resident completed his 12th grade through modular learning modality with specialization in Academic/ Humanities and Social Sciences at Maasin National Comprehensive High School.
Meanwhile, the other resident reached his 10th grade with specialization in Cookery at Burak National High School in Maasin.
Known as Balay Pagbag-o, it is a 24/7 child caring institution that provides temporary shelter and intensive rehabilitation for Children in Conflict with Law (CICL).
It offers programs and services such as case management, family-based services, homelife and health services, ecumenical and interfaith programs, developmental services, livelihood and entrepreneurial programs, educational services, psychosocial services, recreation and other cultural activities.
“Through continuous intensive and therapeutic rehabilitation, the residents in Balay Pagbag-o are undergoing holistic interventions such as but not limited to educational, developmental, and psychosocial services,” the PSWDO said in a media statement.
Further, Balay Pagbag-o residents were honed to become socially responsible individuals and productive citizens for their reintegration to the communities. (AAL/LMLE/PIA Iloilo/With reports from PSWDO)
