ILPI holds Christmas gift-giving to 5 schools in Iligan

ILIGAN CITY (PIA)– Iligan Light and Power, Inc. (ILPI) hosted a Christmas gift-giving activity for five schools in this city dubbed Pamaskong Handog 2023.

ILPI gave over 1,000 packs of 5 kilos of rice to pupils and students studying at Luinab Elementary School, Francisca Paradela Memorial School, Miguel Obach Memorial School, Amado Pitogo Memorial School, and Bernardo Ramos Memorial School.

According to Casa Belandres, the group manager for human resources and administration at ILPI, employees willingly contributed funds, which were supported by additional contributions from management.

Belandres emphasized the importance of employees’ personal involvement, seeing it as an opportunity to give back and support the company’s initiatives.

“Essentially, this is an avenue for us to share our blessings and give back to the people. In appreciation of blessings from above, we try to give back  to people,” she said.

Agustino Barolan, a 63-year-old from Barangay Tomas Cabili, expressed his gratitude for the rice his two grandchildren received.

Moreover, Bernildo Orellana, school head of Bernardo E. Ramos Memorial School located in Scions, and Tomas Cabili expressed gratitude for ILPI’s selection of their school to receive assistance during the holidays.

“Gikan sa akong kasingkasing, I would like to reiterate, kining grasya nga gihatag sa ILPI usa ka dakong tabang sa atong mga kabataan labi na karong Pasko. Karon nakita nila nga tinood naay essence ang Pasko [From my heart, I would like to reiterate that the blessings provided by ILPI are a significant help to our fellowmen, especially this Christmas.
