IPPO personnel reminded to always uphold moral values

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA)– Always internalize the enduring core values of love of God, respect for authority, love and service to people and country, the sanctity of marriage, family life, and truthfulness.

Atty. Belen Tayaban, the Provincial National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Officer, emphasized to members of the Ifugao Police Provincial Office (IPPO)during the 29th Ethics Day celebration held at the Camp Col Joaquin P Dunuan, Poblacion North, Lagawe, Ifugao recently.

“Police officers should set a good example for others to follow by exercising proper and legitimate authority in the performance of their duties. It must not allow itself to be a victim of corruption and dishonesty,” said Tayaban who was the guest of honor and speaker of the said occasion.

She reminded that the bad deeds of a few elements in the police force can easily overshadow the many good deeds of the majority, hence, it is important to internalize their enduring core values and respect the rights of others so that they can exercise their individual rights.

Said celebration with the theme “Serbisyong may Malasakit, Kaayusan at Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran, Handog ng Pambansang Pulisya Kabalikat ng Simbahan at Pamyanan”, is pursuant to the NHQ General Circular No. 94-001 This is part of the PNP efforts to institutionalize the habit of values embodied in the PNP Code of Professional Conduct and Ethical Standards.
