IPPO’s significant accomplishments in first 45 days of 2025

ILOILO CITY (PIA) – – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s (IPPO) first 45 days for 2025 were marked with significant accomplishments made through intensified and successful anti-criminality and law enforcement operations.

From January 1 to February 14, 2025, the IPPO reported a total of 43 anti-drug operations which resulted in the arrest of 61 individuals, including 11 High-Value Individuals (HVI) and 50 Street-Level Individuals (SLI).

These operations also led to the confiscation of 1,933.48 grams of illegal drugs, valued at P13,147,683.72 and the filing of 110 drug-related cases.

In its commitment to bringing fugitives to justice, the IPPO conducted 131 operations, leading to the arrest of 131 wanted persons, including 37 most wanted individuals and 94 other wanted persons.

On illegal gambling, 17 operations were conducted, resulting in the arrest of 24 individuals and the confiscation of Php 8,756.00 worth of bets. A total of 17 cases were filed against the violators.

For its sustained campaign against the proliferation of loose firearms, IPPO’s 14 operations led to the arrest of 14 individuals and the filing of 14 cases. A total of 14 firearms were confiscated, while 52 firearms were voluntarily surrendered, and 16 firearms were deposited for safekeeping. In total, 82 firearms were accounted for.

To protect Iloilo’s marine resources, 101 individuals were arrested and 54 fishing boats were apprehended in 37 operations conducted. Confiscated fish from these operations amounted to P 52,280.00.

 The IPPO conducted 29 operations against anti-illegal quarry that resulted in the arrest of 29 individuals and the impounding of 29 vehicles used in illegal quarry activities.

IPPO Director Police Colonel Bayani Razalan lauded the dedication of the IPPO personnel and the community’s cooperation in maintaining peace and order.

“These achievements reflect the relentless efforts of our men and women in uniform, as well as the invaluable support of the Ilonggo community. The fight against crime is a shared responsibility, and our success in these operations is proof that strong police-community collaboration leads to a safer Iloilo,” said Razalan.
