In 2024, the Schools Division of Isabela achieved a historic victory, winning the overall championship title at the CAVRAA after more than a decade. The team secured 114 gold, 101 silver, and 112 bronze medals, underscoring the province’s sporting excellence.

Additionally, the Department of Education (DepEd) Isabela team claimed two gold, three silver, and seven bronze medals at the 2024 Palarong Pambansa.

Schools Division Superintendent Rachel R. Llana expressed her gratitude towards the provincial government for its continuous support of DepEd-Isabela, acknowledging the crucial role of this backing in the athletes’ success.

“The support from the Provincial Government of Isabela has been a constant source of inspiration for our athletes, coaches, and training staff. It has motivated us to excel in the CAVRAA and Palarong Pambansa, and we are grateful for the resources and encouragement provided to us,” Llana remarked.

She also said the incentives awarded by the provincial government are a reflection of the strong collaboration between the local government and the education sector, fostering an environment where athletes can thrive and achieve excellence in their respective sports.

“With such unwavering support, Isabela continues to produce top-tier athletes who compete at the regional and national levels, making the province proud on the sports stage,” Llana added.
