CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) – – Five secondary schools in the 4th congressional district of Isabela have benefitted from the Courses for Literacy on Internet and Computer Knowledge (CLICK) program initiated by the office of Representative Joseph Tan, in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
The project was conceptualized to help schools and students cope with the electronic teaching and learning trend.
The beneficiaries were the Cordon National High School, Santiago City National High School, Jones Rural School, San Agustin National High School, and Dinapigue National High School.
The beneficiaries received 25 laptops for one teacher and five students in each school. The selected recipients underwent a three-day training on cyber hygiene, online safety, and computer productivity.
Albert Gadingan, a teacher from Jones Rural School and one of the beneficiaries, expressed his gratitude to the office of Rep.Tan and DICT for providing the needed gadgets to ensure effective digital teaching methods in school and enable computer literacy for their students.
“On behalf of my fellow teachers today, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for providing us with knowledge on digital literacy and this equipment,” Gadingan said.
The implementation of Project CLICK in secondary schools in the 4th District of Isabela is already in its second year benefitting several schools since last year. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
