CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) — The security sector of Isabela province, composed of the police and military, in coordination with the Commission on Elections (Comelec), has assured the public of a safe, credible, peaceful, and orderly 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE).
This assurance was made during the Unity Walk, Inter-Faith Rally, Candidates’ Forum, and Peace Covenant Signing held at the Baligatan Covered Court in the City of Ilagan on February 12, 2025.
Isabela Police Provincial Office Provincial Director, Col. Lee Allen Bauding, emphasized that under his leadership, the Isabela police force aims to ensure the peaceful and successful conduct of the NLE.
He described the event as a significant challenge for the police officers, who are dedicated to ensuring a smooth election process.
“We are closely coordinating with the military and working under the guidance of Comelec to ensure all election laws are properly implemented and observed,” Bauding stated.
He also called on all sectors in the province to cooperate in achieving a successful and smooth election process.
502nd Infantry Brigade Commander B/Gen. Eugen Mata affirmed the military’s full support in achieving the Comelec’s goal of a safe, peaceful, and orderly election.
He assured the public that the military presence in the province is a demonstration of their commitment to ensuring a fair and peaceful election.
“Ang aming presensya rito ay pagpapakita ng aming buong suporta sa isang mapayapa at patas na eleksyon. Nakikiisa kami sa sambayanang Pilipino sa pagsulong ng demokrasya at kapayapaan,” Mata said.
