CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) – Athletes who won in the 2023 Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic meet, Pre-National Qualifying meet, and 2023 Palarong Pambansa received a total of P3. 3 million cash incentives from the provincial government of Isabela, including their coaches, chaperons and trainers.
The awarding of cash incentives was led by Provincial Administrator and Provincial School Board Vice Chairman Atty. Noel Manuel Lopez held at the Capitol Amphitheater.
Lopez said that the awarding of cash incentive to the athletes is one way of the provincial government leaders and the school board to recognize the honor they have brought to the province.
“This is one way of saying congratulations to all of you, first and foremost, and secondly, to thank you for bringing honor to the Province of Isabela,” Lopez said on behalf of Gov. Rodito T. Albano III, Vice Governor Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III, and the PSB officers.
“To some of you, this is just an extracurricular activity. But to say that this is just another game is an understatement because your mere presence today signifies that you are not only an athlete, you are one of the best athletes,” Lopez further said.

Meanwhile, Schools Division Superintendent Rachel R. Llana extended her gratitude to the Provincial Government of Isabela for its immense support to the sports program and various activities of SDO-Isabela.
“Nais po naming ipaabot ang aming pasasalamat sa provincial government at PSB officers na simula’t simula pa po ay todo suporta na at solido ang pagbibigay ng lahat ng pangangailangan ng mga atleta simula sa unang hakbang ng pakikipagpaligsahan natin upang makamit ang mga medalyang ito,” Llana said.
