DAVAO CITY–The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the city government of the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS) in Davao del Norte continued to show their support towards local businesses who help young jobseekers.
Under the JobStart Philippines Program, Tranche 2 checks were given to five partner employers in the island.
The five partner businesses included: Almeja Azul – LYR Beach Resort, Camp Holiday Resort and Recreation Area, China Road and Bridge Corporation, Samal Island Multipurpose Cooperative (SIMC), and RALGBO Multipurpose Cooperative.
These companies have been working closely with the DOLE and PESO-IGaCoS in providing the youth with opportunities for skill-building, mentorship, and hands-on experience in their respective industries.
“This turnover of Tranche 2 checks is not just a financial gesture; it is a testament to our collective commitment to empowering the youth and bridging the gap between education and employment. Through the JobStart Program, we are offering young people the opportunity to gain valuable experience that will equip them for a successful career. We are grateful to our partner employers for their role in shaping the future of our workforce,” said Marlito D. Ayala, Head of DOLE XI – IGACOS Extension Office,
