QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF NCR) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) recently participated in the Solidarity Pact Signing for the National and Local Elections in May.
JTF NCR Commander BGen Eric A. Macaambac PN(M) led in signing the solidarity pact, together with other officials from the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), non-government organizations (NGOs), and faith-based leaders.

Macaambac expressed AFP’s commitment to upholding democracy and the rule of law.
The initiative emphasized safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process, encouraging civic participation, ensuring voter security, and promoting transparency.
Likewise, the solidarity pact signing symbolizes a unified dedication to preventing election-related violence and fostering an environment of mutual respect and trust among all stakeholders.
The JTF NCR actively supports the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in joint checkpoint operations across Metro Manila. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
