JTF NCR on high alert for ‘Kristine’

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF NCR) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is on high alert and fully prepared to deploy its forces in response to Typhoon “Kristine.”

Personnel from JTF NCR supports local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila through its specialized task groups, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) Teams, Disaster Response and Rescue Teams (DRRTs), Search, Rescue, and Retrieval Teams (SSRTs).

Likewise, the joint task force has activated its NCR-Based Reserve Units to reinforce disaster response efforts.

According to JTF NCR, these units, along with their HADR and DRRT teams, are ready to provide critical support in rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
