JTF NCR, partners empower underprivileged through livelihood program

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Empowering the underprivileged residents of Manila, the Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF NCR) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through the 12th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, with the Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA Manila), and the Manila Police District joined hands in providing livelihood program.

The event which recently held at the Quirino Grandstand, marked the awarding of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registration and the turnover of livelihood assistance packages to 40 qualified beneficiaries from the United Vendors Alliance (UVA).

As part of the DOLE livelihood assistance program, each beneficiary received a 5-in-1 food cart package, designed to provide long-term business opportunities and enhance their economic stability.

Additionally, 1,520 sacks of rice were distributed, benefitting 160 individuals, each receiving 25 kilograms of rice.

This initiative offers sustainable solutions to improve the livelihood of beneficiaries and help them build a more secure future. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
