QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Due to heavy rains brought about by Tropical Storm Kristine that left residents of Navotas City got stranded due to flooding, the Joint Task Force-National Capital Region (JTF-NCR) has provided transportation assistance to residents and passengers who got stranded.
Through JTF-NCR’s Ground Task Group-NCR and Joint Security Task Group, in collaboration with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Navotas City, crucial manpower has been provided and free rides to residents and other passengers to ensure their safe relocation.
The JTF-NCR assured its steadfast commitment to support and protect affected communities.
Likewise, the ongoing operations highlight the dedication and resilience of the armed forces in times of natural disasters, showcasing their unwavering support for the Filipino people. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
