DIPOLOG CITY, May 31 (PIA) – It’s not a long weekend, but a rest day nonetheless.
Mark your calendars, Zanortehanons! The Malacañan Palace, by the President of the Philippines, recently issued Proclamation No. 238 declaring Tuesday, June 6, 2023 a Special (Non-Working) Day in the province of Zamboanga del Norte.
The province will be celebrating its 71st Founding Anniversary with several activities lined-up for the festivities, including the Hudyaka ZaNorte Festival 2023.
The Proclamation reads, “it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Zamboanga del Norte be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration”.

Meanwhile, as per the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE’s) guidelines on Special Non-Working Day, “no work, no pay principle shall apply”.
