MANILA, (PIA) — The Department of Agriculture (DA) is continuing its “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” program to provide Metro Manila residents with quality, safe and affordable agricultural and fishery products this weekend.
The Kadiwa ng Pangulo stores offer a direct farm-to-consumer market, empowering farming communities to earn higher profits while providing fresh and affordable products to consumers.
To deliver its services across Metro Manila, the program will have the following schedules this week, from July 22-28:
On Friday, July 26, 2024, the Kadiwa stores will be operational.
Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 will also see the Kadiwa stores open for business.
The Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative aims to make fresh, locally-sourced agricultural and fishery commodities more accessible to households in the National Capital Region.
By cutting out intermediaries, the program allows farmers to receive better prices for their produce while offering consumers competitively priced goods.
Metro Manila residents are encouraged to take advantage of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo stores in their areas this weekend to stock up on quality, affordable food items straight from the source. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
