Kalinga launches 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) — The provincial government of Kalinga kicked off the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary with a motorcade and program at the Provincial Capitol on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024.

Governor James S. Edduba said the month-long celebration will focus on the importance of cultivating sustainable management for the achievement of a future-ready civil service, aligned with the aspirations and goals of the AmBisyon Natin 2040, which envisions a stable and comfortable life for Filipinos, supported by a clean, efficient, and fair government.

Various activities will be conducted throughout the month to promote the welfare of civil servants and honor their contributions.

On Friday, Sept. 6, the Public Employment Service Office of the Tabuk City government, in partnership with the Professional Regulation Commission Region II, will conduct a mobile activity at the Kalinga Sports Center.

Also slated for Sept. 6 in the same venue is the Legal Aid activity of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Kalinga Chapter, a Zumba activity, a jobs fair, the Kadiwa ng Pangulo, and the Lingkod Bayani Bazaar.

On Sept. 12, a blood-letting activity will be held and free medical services will be provided at the Kalinga Sports Center, and on Sept. 20 will be a tree-growing activity.

Another activity will be the Recognition and Awarding Ceremony of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary Provincial Government of Kalinga or PCSA PGO-Kalinga Award which honors civil servants who have received national awards for their dedication, integrity, and excellence in public service.

Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Grace M. Kidang-Flores also announced various sports activities to promote the health and wellness of government workers.

The celebration will culminate on Sept. 30 with the traditional potluck fellowship lunch of civil servants in the province. (IOS, PIA-CAR, Kalinga)
