Kalinga police office deploys 600 personnel to ensure a safe, peaceful Holy Week

TABUK CITY, Kalinga (PIA) — Kalinga Police Provincial Office (KPPO) has deployed 600 personnel to various locations in the province to ensure a safe and peaceful observance of the Holy Week.

KPPO Provincial Director Police Colonel James D. Mangili said 600 police personnel were deployed to Police Assistance Centers located in major exits and entrances, as well as main thoroughfares in the province ready to provide assistance to motorists and travelers.

“Adda ti 600 nga personnel nga nadeploy kadagiti entrance and exit ditoy Kalinga, ken agpatpatrol met laeng kadagiti main thoroughfares tapnu iti kasta nu adda makita da nga insidente ket nakasagana da nga rumisponde o mang-rescue,” Mangili said.

They will also conduct mobile patrols along riverbanks to monitor picnic-goers.

He added that assistance hubs have been set up in key tourist destinations, particularly in Tinglayan, which draws visitors to see Apo Whang-od, the famed traditional tattoo artist

The provincial director urged the public to be cautious, especially when picnicking near rivers, to avoid accidents.

“Dawdawaten mi nga nga displinahin tayo kuma ti bagbagi tayo, karkaru kadagiti apan agpicnic iti karayan tapnu iti kasta ket awan kuma iti malmes. Karu dagiti ubbing, bantayan tayo kuma isuda,” the official said.

Mangili also called on other government agencies to work together in maintaining peace and order during the Holy Week.
