Kalinga prepares 2023 Public Service Continuity Plan

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) – Aiming for continued delivery of public service in times of disasters, the province readies its Public Service Continuity Plan this year.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Office conducted a three -day workshop for the plan preparation.

The plan contains internal capacities, recovery requirements and strategies of an agency or institution. It includes contingency measures to ensure continued delivery of services to the public especially affected areas.

The plan is packaged to assure essential services of government reach target constituents at all times even during disasters.

Gov. James S. Edduba believes that any interference or disorder brought by natural calamities should not disrupt government service to the public.

During disasters people especially those affected need government assistance and therefore, we in government, must be there, he stressed.

National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Ccouncil Memorandum Order No. 33  series of 2018 mandates local government units to createtheir respective  Public Service Continuity Plan. (JDP/LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
