SYUDAD SANG ROXAS, Capiz (PIA) — Kapin sa 400 ang nagpasakop sa Capiz Fisheries Summit 2024 bilang kabahin sang 61st Fish Conservation Week nga selebrasyon sadtong Setyembre 19 tubtob 20 sa El Circulo Convention Center sa Pueblo de Panay, Roxas City.
Ang duha ka adlaw nga kahiwatan ang ginpangunahan sang lokal nga panguluhan sang probinsya pinaagi sa Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, kag United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Fish Right.
Gintalakay sa nasambit nga pagtilipon ang mga isyu kag problema sang mga mangingisda agud matutukan ini sa ti-on nga natukod na ang Provincial Fisheries Development Plan.
“We are gathered together for a common cause—common cause for the protection of our seas, protection of our water inland and outland, protection of the God-given wealth—because if they disappear and they are destroyed, there could be no replacement. Do not expect a replacement of whatever we destroy if we do not care and we don’t take care of our seas and our God-given wealth in the seas, in the ocean, and in land of ours,” pahayag ni Gov. Fredenil H. Castro.
Gindugang pa sang gobernador ang pag-organisa sang madamo pa nga mga grupo sang mga mangingisda sa probinsya agud nga matagaan sang dugang kag alternatibo nga palangabuhian ilabi na kon apektado ang ila pagpanagat kon malain ang panahon.
