TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA) — Fifteen ladies, representing their respective municipalities, showcased their beauty and brilliance in the Miss Lanao del Norte 2024 beauty pageant, held as part of the 65th Araw ng Lanao del Norte weeklong celebration.
Gov. Imelda “Angging” Quibranza Dimaporo praised the province’s young women for showcasing beauty and intelligence, which symbolize the province’s vibrant culture and resilience.
These young women not only prove how pretty and keen the women of Lanao del Norte are, but they are also a testament to our vibrant culture and resilient spirit. Truly, Lanao del Norte is not merely defined by its breathtaking landscapes or abundant resources, but also by the resilience and spirit of its people,” she said.
Johanna Ocharon, Ms. Kapatagan, emerged as the new queen. She also took home the awards for Best in Festival Attire, featuring the vibrant Kahumayan Festival of Kapatagan with a stunning and intricately designed outfit, and Best in Production Attire.

In her response to a question about redesigning the province’s logo, she proposed incorporating ‘humay’, or rice, a significant product from her municipality.
“And as your emboldened woman of Lanao del Norte, I believe that incorporating this logo would really see the ability and capabilities of Lanao del Norte and will shine not just at the provincial level but globally,” she said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Salvador, Stephanee Dominise, took the first runner-up title and also won the Miss Telegenic award. She talked about adding a fire element to the logo, symbolizing Lanao del Norte’s unyielding progress and growth.

“What I’m so proud of in Lanao del Norte is that despite the achievements we have, we still continue to progress and grow. We never opted to stop because, as one Lanao del Norte, we have this fire within us. Despite our differences, we foster social cohesion and work hand in hand for our future,” she said.
Additionally, Ms. Bacolod, Shaira Mae Alcantara, secured the titles of Best in Swimsuit and Miss Photogenic. She expressed her satisfaction with the current logo, highlighting its balanced representation of the province’s rich cultural heritage and natural attractions.
“I can’t change anything because I’m very proud of it. As a chemistry student, I believe in balancing things, especially equations, and I can see that in our logo, everything is balanced, so I wouldn’t change anything about it,” she said.
Eanna Patricia Sonza from Sultan Naga Dimaporo and Leslie Grace Zamora from Nunungan were awarded third and fourth runner-up, respectively.
