Land Bank reaches out to Davao de Oro residents

PANTUKAN, Davao de Oro (PIA) — Residents of Pantukan in Davao de Oro and nearby towns can now avail of the services of Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) as they partner with a local cooperative to deliver basic banking transactions.

Through the LANDBANKasama program, LBP inked a partnership agreement with Pantukan Chess Club Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PCCMPPC) on November 9 to provide various services including cash withdrawal, cash deposit, fund transfer, bills payment, balance inquiry, and opening of LANDBANK prepaid cards.

“With this partnership and through LANDBANKasama, the Pantukenyos will be able to enjoy reliable and convenient banking services without the need to travel to far-flung places,” Ortiz said.

She added that the program seeks to empower and benefit customers through lower transaction costs, and enable potential savings on travel and associated expenses for clients located outside of municipal or city centers.

To avail of the Land Bank services in the cooperative, individuals will be charged with P2.00 to P30.00 depending on the transactions; however, this is still cheaper than spending on transportation going to the nearest Land Bank, which will cost around P60.00 to P100 for a round trip fare.

According to the briefer, PCCMPC is now one of the 1,073 LANDBANKasama partners nationwide with 1,818 terminals operating in 82 provinces and 860 towns.

PCCMPC chairperson Robert Padilla expressed gratitude to Land Bank as the program will definitely push the purpose of their organization.

“Bilang isang cooperative na naglalayong paunlarin ang kalidad ng buhay, ikinagagalak naming maging partner ng Land Bank (upang) makamit ang aming layunin na makahatid ng quality, accessible, at equitable na mga produkto at serbisyo,” Padilla said. (MLU/PIA Davao de Oro)
