MANILA, (PIA) — Good news! A major step towards improving quality healthcare services in the south of Metro Manila is now open.
The Department of Public Works and Highways recently opened the 12-storey Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center.
DPWH National Capital Region, and Las Piñas Muntinlupa District Engineering Office, in partnership with the Department of Health, and support of Senator Cynthia A. Villar delivered the highly beneficial project on time.
Senator Villar, Health Assistant Secretary Ariel Valencia, DPWH-NCR Regional Director Loreta Malaluan, and other officials led the inauguration ceremony of the new hospital along Diego Cera Avenue.

From the previous 200-bed capacity, the new hospital now has a bed capacity of 500, catering to more outpatient and resident patients in Las Piñas City.
According to DPWH-NCR, the building’s exterior retained its historic design, while its interiors are modernized with multi-functional rooms such as isolation wards, pediatrics, internal medicine, hemodialysis clinics, and out patient department (OPD).
In his message, DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan promised that the department will undertake more health infrastructure facilities that are accessible, and cater to all. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
