During the 76th Charter Anniversary and Feast of the Blessed Birhen sa Cotta in Ozamiz City, Mayor Indy Oaminal, 2nd District Rep. Ando Oaminal, and Governor Henry Oaminal of Misamis Occidental spearheaded the ‘Ayuda sa mga Ozamiznon para Asenso’ initiative, demonstrating the local government’s appreciation for the community.

Mayor Indy Oaminal emphasized the importance of unity in governance, saying, “If our city council, provincial board, and all our leaders from various sectors come together, the programs we create and deliver will truly benefit the people. Thanks to the trust you’ve placed in us, we have achieved this first-ever assistance for the LGBTQIA+ sector.”

Meanwhile, Gov. Oaminal echoed this sentiment, stating that the Asenso administration recognized the LGBTQIA+ community and all sectors without discrimination.

“No matter what sector you belong to, we can all contribute to the progress not just of our society but also for the welfare of all Ozamiznons. Your contribution to progress is vital for the community. Our direction for progress encompasses not only infrastructure, agriculture, and education programs but also aims to ensure that all Ozamiznons and Misamisnons live peacefully, prosperously, and happily,’’ he said.

Gov. Oaminal also expressed his enthusiasm for engaging with the LGBTQIA+ sector, acknowledging their importance in the community. (PGMO/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
